An extremely spacious and comfortable farmhouse situated in an enviable position of seclusion with an acre and a half of private garden. The house offers comfortable accommodation over two floors creating a spacious, light and airy environment with stylish contemporary furnishings. The central part of the house was built in the 1890’s and boasts a number of original features including the wooden ceiling beams. The house is right next to the Island Harbour Marina and set in a beautiful riverside valley.
Located close to the ferry ports of Fishbourne and East cowes, and backing onto the River Medina, this property is well located to explore this wonderful and amazing island, with over 500 mile of walking, trekking and cycling paths, and award winning beaches, world famous sailing and other water sports, and great pubs and restaurants!
The Island Harbour Marina is located a mile downstream from the world renowned sailing town of Cowes. This peaceful marina offers 200 berths as well as many amenities including a licensed bar and bistro restaurant “The Breeze”, chandlery, boat hoist and repair workshop.
About us
We bought Binfield House back in 2008 after taking a family holiday on our bicycles when our daughters were aged 6 and 4. We fell in love with this beautiful islan during that holiday, and decided we wanted a holiday home here. If you enjoy the outdoors, then the Isle Of Wight is perfect for you and will not disappoint – whether you are into sailing (for example, Cowes sailing festival in August), kite-boarding, sea kayaking, horse riding, cycling, walking, trekking, wind surfing – there is something for everyone! If you are into music then there is the world famous Isle Of Wight Music festival held in June, and a host of other festivals running from May through to October . This website also has a load of other information about what is going on and when.
We have tried to make Binfield House a ‘home from home’ and we hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay, both at the house and the island.
